Tottenham: Fans giddy with excitement after Dybala negotiations get underway

Some Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to voice their sheer elation at the prospect of Paulo Dybala signing for the club.

The Argentina international is valued at £80million (per the Evening Standard) by Juventus, but Tottenham are confident they can get a deal over the line before the transfer deadline for Premier League teams on Thursday, August 8.

It had been reported a couple of days ago that the Lilywhites had turned down the chance to sign the 25-year-old, but in a quick U-turn it now appears talks have opened up in a bid to bring the forward to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Mauricio Pochettino has already splashed out on Tanguy Ndombele this summer for what was a club-record fee of £53.8m, and also bought Jack Clarke for an initial £10m.

And in another big move, Giovani Lo Celso is also expected to complete his £45m move to north London before the start of the season, according to The Sun.

So, if deals for Dybala and Lo Celso are done it would bring their total expenditure in the window to over £185m in an incredible couple of months which follow an 18-month period where nobody had been signed.
