Loads of Tottenham fans heaped praise on Daniel Levy after the details of Christian Eriksen’s imminent move to Inter Milan were revealed.
The 27-year-old is expected to complete a £16.8m move to Italy, which could see him earn an eye-watering £320,000-a-week, as per Sky Sports. As the Denmark international’s time in north London draws to a close, he scored 69 goals and conjured up 89 assists in 305 appearances, according to TransferMarkt.
Despite Barcelona making late enquiries, it was not followed up with a concrete offer and Inter look to have won the race for the Danish midfielder. Chairman Daniel Levy wanted to ensure that he benefitted from the deal. As a result, revealed by Sky in Italy (via Football Italia), the Nerazzurri have agreed to pay Spurs the transfer fee, plus a five percent solidarity payment and income from gate receipts for a friendly game which is yet to be arranged. Supporters were delighted with Levy as he worked his magic on the deal and made their feelings clear on social media.
