Tottenham fans on Twitter discuss Andre Onana links

Tottenham fans have been up in arms when it comes to Hugo Lloris. The Frenchman has had an up and down 2018 and now it looks like he’s falling out of favour in North London. On the back of that, these reports from Voetbal International claim that the Lilywhites are considering a move for Ajax’s number one, Andre Onana.

The Cameroonian shot-stopper has been in superb form in both the Eredivisie and the Champions League this season and at the age of 22 he’s absolutely flying and looks to have a huge career ahead of him. In his 19 games for Ajax this season he’s kept an incredible 13 clean sheets and conceded just nine goals. It’s nos surprise to see one of Europe’s top clubs looking at him and with Lloris’ form wavering, Onana could be a great move for Spurs.

The problems for Lloris started when he was arrested for drink driving. The France captain enjoyed a superb summer, winning the World Cup even if he did have a mare in the final for Croatia’s second goal. Since then things have just gone downhill and as he makes mistake after mistake, the pressure is piling up on the 31-year-old, which could lead to Mauricio Pochettino putting his foot down and looking to bring in yet another Ajax sensation.
