For the most part, Spurs fans absolutely love Mauricio Pochettino, however, his recent comments about this summer and the club’s transfer business has frustrated a lot of supporters. Football.london have got the Argentine’s full comments but the fans are fuming at his supposed lack of ambition.
Poch on the lack of transfers. https://t.co/yBp6TTyzCd

For any manager to come out and state that five players signing new contracts is like getting five new players in is brave, it’s even braver when you’ve previously claimed that you want to get all of your business done early and before you fly out on tour. Pochettino has done just that though, and after promising a summer of risky signings and big ambition the club are currently out in America preparing for their game against Roma in the early hours of tomorrow morning GMT.
The club has been heavily linked to a number of players. Anthony Martial, Jack Grealish and Wilmar Barrios have been closely linked with a switch to North London and if the club could bring in any of those then the fans would start believing that maybe this summer could be the big one that’s full of ambition, as they were previously promised. The club plays their first game of the season on Saturday 11th August away at St James Park and if they fail to prepare for that one then they could see a losing start to the Premier League season.
You can read the Lillywhites’ verdict on Pochettino’s comments here:
Ridiculous statement. It’s Nothing like signing 5 new players at all. After everything he said about getting business done early he says this. Lost a bit of respect for him. Levy’s puppet. Needs to back up his own words.

“And of course, very happy with players who have signed new contracts like Harry Kane, Son, Lamela, Davinson and Michel Vorm, that’s like signing five new players.” why am I not surprised by this. Tick tock

What happened to having all players in by start of preseason?

Movement but which way…Rumour but only a rumour Real Madrid are interested in Hugo

Truly pathetic too always make transfers so late. A new player MIGHT have impact after 4-5 games. Lost points cost money!

He’s saying the only thing he can at this point. He is being played a fool by Levy. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him exit next season.

Spurs fans need to be careful because if they slate Poch and he leaves they’ll be in serious trouble but equally, they’re well within their rights to be frustrated by his comments.
