Tottenham fans on Twitter have had enough of Hugo Lloris

Tottenham fans had to endure one hell of a match last night. What was billed as a huge clash between the Lilywhites and Chelsea was actually a game that lacked a bit of quality. In the end, it was decided by individual errors as Hugo Lloris, rather characteristically at the moment, was beaten cheaply before Kieran Trippier scored a bizarre own goal.

Whilst the second goal that the Lilywhites shipped can easily be accredited to a huge blunder from Trippier, the fans cannot get over how poor Lloris was for Pedro’s opener. The Spaniard had the ball out wide and looked to be causing little threat, with Gonzalo Higuain tucked up in the pocket of Davinson Sanchez, the Lilywhites didn’t fear that Pedro would find the Argentine with a cross.

It seems, though, that even Pedro didn’t back his teammate in the air so he went alone, cutting inside onto his left and skipping past Toby Alderweireld. His angle across goal was narrow, so instead of firing for the far post, the ex-Barcelona man slipped it inbetween Lloris’ legs and ran off celebrating. It was one that Lloris will not want to see again and one that has had the Lilywhites fuming at their out-of-form #1.
