Kyle Walker-Peters has been kicking around at Tottenham for a while now. The young full-back who’s versatile and talented enough to play on both sides is yet to put in a poor display for his club, but despite that he hasn’t been given a real run in the first-team as of yet.

On Wednesday evening, Walker-Peters was just one of the ten changes that Mauricio Pochettino made to the side that lost 1-0 to Manchester City on an NFL-battered Wembley Pitch as they faced a daunting trip to The London Stadium to ace West Ham United in the Carabao Cup 4th round. It was a game that ended with a win, and Walker-Peters was class throughout, helping to keep Michail Antonio quiet on the Hammers’ left-hand side.
Next up for Walker-Peters will be for him to show Pochettino that he has what it takes to compete alongside the likes of Kieran Trippier and Ben Davies to be the club’s starting full-back on either side or at least be in the first-team picture. Last season saw him win man of the match against Newcastle in the Premier League on the opening day, score his first club goal against Rochdale in the FA Cup and put in some dominant displays and now he’s adding to that this season, he’ll be keen to make himself a first-team regular.

The Lilywhites will be keen to see Walker-Peters get ore game time going forward and will hope he can get at least a few minutes away at Wolves tomorrow night.
