There aren’t many Tottenham fans that enjoy the rollercoaster of a transfer window and pre-season. The Lilywhites are often linked with a whole host of Europe’s top players before selling one of their stars and signing an unknown French winger, however, this time around the fans are hoping for a good window and will be keen to land Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic.

For a lot of England fans, it’s way too soon for the name Ivan Perisic to be mentioned. The 29-year-old Croatian winger scored the equaliser last night in the World Cup semi-final against England, cancelling out Keiran Trippier’s superb free-kick opener. However, Perisic’s club side, Inter want to sign Mousa Dembele from Tottenham and Daniel Levy could be poised to ask for the Croatian in return.
The performance from Perisic last night showed why he always seems to get linked with Europe’s top clubs. The World Cup finalist is tall, strong, two-footed and has a lot of pace, making him a full-back’s nightmare. The ex-Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg winger is more than good enough to be effective in the Premier League and if Tottenham do sign him then it’s just a matter of time until the fans are over their World Cup heartache and are getting behind the Croatian in all competitions.
