Christian Eriksen’s contract runs out in the summer of 2020, prompting many Tottenham Hotspur fans to hurry Daniel Levy and the board into further negotiations for a new deal for the Danish ace as soon as possible.
Spurs also have a trio of Belgians whose deals expire next summer in Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld and Moussa Dembele, thus leaving manager Mauricio Pochettino facing the very real prospect of seeing his talented Tottenham team ripped up come the end of the season.
On the Eriksen front though, there is some good news for Spurs fans as the Argentine did announce that talks had begun between the club and the 26-year-old, as he said: ‘We are working so hard. The club is trying to take the best decision.’

The Denmark international made the move to the North London outfit back in 2013 after impressing at Dutch giants Ajax, and he has since taken that to another level at Spurs in scoring 57 goals and laying on 73 assists in 239 appearances for the club, albeit he has yet to win a trophy during his time at Tottenham.
Thus, the 26-year-old is clearly an integral part of Pochettino’s team, and several Spurs fans took to Twitter to offer their views on the recent Eriksen update provided by the Argentine, with many wanting him to stay, and plenty feeling that they have to give him what he wants for that to happen…
