Tottenham fans will be celebrating a new signing this summer like they would winning a trophy. Neither has happened for a while, but with money to spend in summer and a Champions League final coming up, anything is possible. One dream signing would be the return of Gareth Bale, and according to The Daily Mail it might just happen.

No one in North London expected to see Gareth Bale making a return to Tottenham when he left the club way back in summer 2013, but stranger things have happened in football. Now, though, as Zinedine Zidane has returned to the Santiago Bernabeu it looks like the Welshman’s future has again been thrown up in the air, and with an exit on the horizon, he could be set for a £10 million loan move to Tottenham.
It reeks of nostalgia and when you put the facts on the table it’s a deal that actually makes little sense for the Lilywhites. Old, injury prone, large wages, Gareth Bale is far from the player that Mauricio Pochettino will be looking at, but for the Welsh wing-wizard, things are so different. The memories that Bale made at Tottenham were incredible, and the Lilywhites would be over the moon if he came back, even just for one season, to make some more.

There is nothing the Lilywhites wouldn’t do to secure Bale’s return and they’ll all be hoping to see the Welshman back at their new stadium sooner or later.
