Tottenham fans have had a while to prepare for this, but tonight is the first Champions League semi-final they have ever played in, and the fans are buzzing. However, with their number of injuries, it will be a tough ask to get a win, although it would make a huge difference if both Moussa Sissoko and Jan Vertonghen make their returns.

Both Vertonghen and Sissoko are incredible players and will be in the running for the in-club player of the season award, that fans have been voting for over the last couple of days. Either of them would be worthy winners given the seasons they’ve had, but winning an individual in-club accolade will be nothing compared to winning the Champions League, something they can help the club make a step towards if they play tonight.
It will be a game that Vertonghen will be desperate to play as it’s against his former club Ajax, and he could be one of four ex-Ajax players in the Spurs side later tonight. Sissoko, on the other hand, has no ties to Ajax and will be desperate to see the Lilywhites advance into the Champions League final at the Dutch side’s expense, and considering how he missed out on most of the second-leg against Man City in the quarter-finals, he’ll be dying to play and star tonight.
