Aaron Lennon is up there as one of the most under-appreciated players in the Premier League. The speedster is still doing his thing at Burnley, but will also be synonymous with Tottenham having spent ten years with the Lilywhites between 2005 and 2015, and today on his 32nd birthday, Spurs fans are reminiscing over their former winger.

It’s easy to overlook Lennon at times because when he was flying down the right-wing in his pomp he had Gareth Bale on the opposite wing, and we all know what happened with the Welshman. However, Lennon remained loyal to Tottenham up until he couldn’t cut it anymore. His time in North London was still incredible, though, as he scored 30 and assisted 77 goals in his 364 games for the Lilywhites.
Some of the memories he left for the Spurs fans are incredible. The famous equaliser in the 4-4 draw against Arsenal is the main one, but then his assist for Peter Crouch in the Champions League is also up there as it saw the Lilywhites reach a Europan quarter-final. Lennon really doesn’t get the appreciation that he should do, and it’s probably because he featured in the same side as the likes of Bale, Luka Modric and Rafael van der Vaart, but at least he’s getting some recognition here.
