Tottenham Hotspur have been tipped to make a shock move for Kalidou Koulibaly in the summer, via Sky Sports.
Sports journalist Gianluca di Marzio has revealed Spurs are interested in Koulibaly and a surprising link to Daniel Levy could pave the way for the defender to move to London.
The football insider said “Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly could be one of their most important targets. There is a very good feeling between his agents and the Tottenham chairman.”
“I think Koulibaly will leave Napoli this summer. Only last summer, Napoli signed Kostas Manolas who is a similar player to Koulibaly and then they got another defender in, Amir Rrahmani from Verona.”
He concluded “so, I think the percentage that Koulibaly could arrive in the Premier League is very high.”

Ever since he arrived at the San Paolo Stadium from Genk for a mere £6.98m, the 28-year-old has established himself as one of the highest-rated footballers in the world, making 15 appearances in the Serie A for Gennaro Gattuso’s side this season, as well as featuring in 6 games in the Champions League, registering 2.2 tackles per game, averaging 1.5 interceptions, and completing a staggering 5.2 clearances on average in the European competition (WhoScored).
Jose Mourinho has made it clear he wants to shore up a leaky defence, as the Lilywhites conceded more goals in the Premier League than their rivals Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United up until now, and the Senegal international’s experience at the top of the game could prove vital when Mourinho’s men resume their hunt for trophies in the future.
Naturally, loads of Spurs fans are buzzing over the link with the “colossal” centre-back, as one supporter dubbed him an “extraordinary signing,” and another pleaded with the board to “make it happen Levy.”

Would be an incredible boost to our team. Surely his price will only go down from 29-years-old so might be able to save some cash
