Tottenham fans want to see more of defender Juan Foyth after the 21-year-old was once again called up to the Argentina squad to face Brazil and Uruguay this weekend.
Foyth joined Spurs from Estudiantes in 2017 but has only gone on to play 29 times for the north London outfit. He has started to cement a position in Argentina’s starting XI at right-back following a string of impressive performances for the South Americans, though, with many Tottenham fans now wanting to see him trusted their by manager Mauricio Pochettino.
So far this season, Foyth has started just once – during the 4-0 win away at Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League earlier this month – with both Serge Aurier and Kyle Walker-Peters preferred at right-back. That hasn’t exactly gone too well for the Lilywhites, however, considering they have only managed to keep one clean sheet in the Premier League all season.
Here’s what some Spurs fans had to say about Foyth on Twitter..
Start playing him as our regular RB

If pochettino was Argentina’s manager I still think he’d try to pick aurier over foyth 🤔

Exactly, why not 3 at the back? Davies, Sanchez, Foyth with Sess at left wing back and a new signing (similar mould to Sess) at right wing back 👌🏻
