Tottenham Hotspur lost ground on the top four in the Premier League after suffering a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea on Sunday.
Prior to kick-off Spurs were just three points behind their London rivals, but that has now been extended to six following victory for Frank Lampard’s men (BBC Sport).
Barely any of Tottenham’s players came away from the game with any credit, however it seems as though many fans were divided when it came to the performance of Davinson Sanchez.
According to the statistics, the 23-year-old Colombian was one of their better performers. Indeed he won four tackles, made three clearances, blocked two shots and made one interception in the match, with SofaScore giving him a rating of 7.2.
Whilst several supporters have been acknowledging that Sanchez did ok, others were quite critical and insisted that he didn’t actually play that well.
Here is what some fans said on Twitter about Sanchez’s display…
For what it’s worth I thought Davinson Sanchez was our best player today – though that doesn’t say much. #THFC #COYS #TOTCHE

Really? He won the ball back on a few occasions but mostly from his initial mistake! Doesn’t convince me at all. His passing is terrible and he still gets involved in a wrestling match too much for me when he should be smarter.

He’s our best CB. I don’t understand the stick he gets, he’s had a regular run of games now and he’s proving it.

I think he’s a clown, poor on the ball and genuinely a liability.

Agreed, he gave everything today

Are you mad?! I had the epiphany game where he realised just how diabolical he is on the ball
