Tottenham Hotspur fans have been displaying their negativity after Football.london touted Erik Lamela as a potential replacement for the banned Heung-Min Son.
The South Korean attacker will be out for the next two Premier League fixtures, having already missed today’s (defeat/win/draw depending on the result) against Brighton and Hove Albion, after he received his second red card of the season in the 2-0 loss to Chelsea.
Lamela himself has been suffering from injury problems this season and has been out for the last 12 games across all competitions with a hamstring injury (via Transfermarkt).
However, he looks to be making a much-needed comeback to the first-team after it was announced that he has been integrated back into training.
Prior to the club’s game against the Seasiders, Mourinho spoke about the loss of Son as he bemoaned the club’s lack of options despite the Argentine’s return.
Fans were less than sure about Lamela being the replacement for Son, due to his injury problems, as they took to Twitter to react.
Here is a selection of tweets from the north London faithful:

Same every season…starts great, builds up hope and promise. picks up what seems an innocuous injury and is out for 2 months. Rinse and repeat
