Jose Mourinho wants to bring Portuguese duo Bruno Fernandes and Ruben Dias to Tottenham, that is according to the Independent.
The 56-year-old arrived at Spurs this week, replacing Mauricio Pochettino as manager and he is thought to have told chairman Daniel Levy that he wants to bring the two players in to bolster the squad.
Both currently play in their native Portugal at Sporting Lisbon and Benfica respectively and they have been in good form this season too.
Fernandes has scored nine goals and provided six assists from midfield in just 17 appearances in all competitions (Transfermarkt).
Meanwhile centre-back Dias has helped his team keep eight clean sheets in just 11 Liga NOS games, whilst also netting two goals as well (Transfermarkt).
With the likes of Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Christian Eriksen all out of contract in the summer (Transfermarkt), Fernandes and Dias could well be seen as replacements for them.
It would be fair to say that plenty of Spurs fans would be happy with the two Portuguese internationals joining the club, here is what some had to say on Twitter about them being linked with the club…
Both fantastic players that would fill eriksen/Toby’s shoes. Get it done!

A good start, for sure. A commanding centre back on the rise and a goal scoring midfielder.
