Ben Chilwell has now cemented his stance as England’s first-choice left-back.

The Leicester City defender’s exceptional club form has seen him included regularly in Gareth Southgate’s starting XI, and last night the 22-year-old won his 10th cap for the Three Lions during a 7-0 win over Montenegro at Wembley.
Chilwell’s performance last night was outstanding. He provided the opening three assists for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Harry Kane’s two goals, achieving a ‘perfect 10’ match rating from WhoScored in the process.
It was another performance that warrants Chilwell’s reputation as one of the country’s most talented left-backs at this moment in time, and placed him even further ahead of the likes of Danny Rose and Luke Shaw – his two main rivals for a starting place in England’s team.
Given Rose’s recent comments about not leaving and Spurs’ links with Chilwell in the past, it seems the Foxes ace is a popular figure amongst the Lillywhite faithful.
