Tottenham Hotspur edged their way into the fifth round of the FA Cup with a 3-2 victory in their fourth round replay against Southampton on Wednesday (BBC Sport).
Jose Mourinho’s side certainly made hard work of things, and after taking an early lead, they conceded twice to go 2-1 down. However, goals from Lucas Moura and Son Heung-min rescued the game for Spurs and ultimately set up a tie against Norwich City.
Only a few players were at their best in the game against the Saints, and one of those who has been getting plenty of praise on social media is Dele Alli.

The England international did not start the game, but he was brought on by Mourinho in the 61st minute (BBC Sport). He certainly made a hugely positive impact, providing the assist for Lucas’ equaliser whilst also playing a magnificent pass to Son which led to the South Korean being brought down for a penalty, which he scored (BT Sport).
Loads of Spurs fans were extremely impressed with Alli’s cameo, with several taking to Twitter to wax lyrical about his display. Here is what some had to say…
