Tottenham Hotspur: Fans react to Juan Foyth’s transfer update

Tottenham Hotspur have offered Juan Foyth to Barcelona, according to Mundo Deportivo via @Daily_Hotspur.

Barca were initially interested in signing his teammate Tanguy Ndombele, although they are reportedly hesitant to sign the Argentinian defender due to his lack of minutes under Jose Mourinho.

Ever since he arrived in North London from Club Estudiantes de La Plata for £8m in 2017, Foyth was touted as a prodigy of former boss Mauricio Pochettino, but now finds himself out of favour with the Argentine’s successor.

Indeed, he has struggled to make much of an impact at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and has only played in one game in the Premier League for  Mourinho’s side all season, finding himself below Toby Alderweireld, Davinson Sanchez and Jan Vertonghen in the pecking order (Transfermarkt).

The Argentinian international has made 32 appearances for the Lilywhites in total, but it appears Daniel Levy is ready to try and recoup some of the funds he spent on the 22-year-old.

Predictably, plenty of Spurs fans reacted to Foyth’s ‘terrible’ transfer update, and one supporter lamented the “bad decision.”
