Tottenham Hotspur fans were left frustrated by the late substitution between Giovani Lo Celso and Christian Eriksen in the loss to Liverpool.

The Denmark international made way for his Argentine counterpart in the 88th minute, and the lack of difference in statistical comparison of the two men is quite shocking.
During Lo Celso’s short time on the pitch, the 23-year-old completed just 11 passes fewer than the 27-year-old, showing the ineffectiveness of Eriksen’s performance (via WhoScored).
Eriksen is seemingly on his way out of Spurs with the Dane yet to agree on a new contract, which expires in the summer of 2020.
The player was very clear on his future during the summer transfer window, claiming he wanted to leave to pursue a ‘new challenge’ (Ekstra Bladet via The Telegraph).
Fans were visibly frustrated at the decision from Mauricio Pochettino as they took to Twitter to react.
