Leicester City defender Ricardo Pereira is a Tottenham transfer target, that is according to the Daily Express.
New manager Jose Mourinho could be in the market for a right-back as the club never replaced Kieran Trippier in the summer after allowing him to join Atletico Madrid.
The player himself has fuelled speculation by telling Portuguese outlet Record: “He’s been missed. He’s one of the best coaches in the world.”
Serge Aurier and youngster Kyle Walker-Peters are their current options in that position, but Pereira is reportedly a target, one that could strengthen Spurs.
Indeed, the 26-year-old has been fantastic for the Foxes this season and has been part of a defence which has conceded just eight times this season – the best record in the division (BBC Sport).
Added to that he has also shown his attacking threat too, scoring twice in 13 Premier League appearances (Transfermarkt).
If Spurs do sign Pereira, then it appears that it would be a popular addition amongst the supporters, many of whom have expressed that they would love the former Porto man to join the club…

Would be a great addition to the team. One of my personal favourites for the January transfer window. He has shown outstanding consistency and great ability both defending and moving forward. Let’s hope the special one has his fellow contryman in sight!

Hope this is true! Best right back in league

I’ve liked the look of Pereira every time I’ve seen him (mostly on highlights yo be fair), but looks a real threat going forward, knows how to defend…. and knows the league.
