Tottenham Hotspur are thought to have the opportunity of bringing Luka Modric back to the club by Real Madrid and fans have called for the club to make it happen on Twitter.

According to a report by El Desmarque, the La Liga outfit have offered a swap deal for their Croatia international in which would allow Christian Eriksen to make the move to the Spanish capital in the upcoming January transfer window.
Indeed, it would appear many of the club’s faithful would welcome their former man back to north London, despite being 34-years-old.
Real Madrid are thought to have signed Modric for a transfer fee in the region of £30m back in 2012 (BBC), however they face the prospect of losing him on a free as his contract enters the final few months.
The midfielder, who won last year’s Ballon d’Or award and helped Croatia to the 2018 World Cup final (Transfermarkt), was exceptional during his time with Tottenham as he managed to achieve figures of 17 goals and 27 assists in his 160 appearances for Spurs.
Fans have urged Mauricio Pochettino and the club to make the deal happen, with many of them keen to see the back of Eriksen.

This is a great deal. We don’t lose Eriksen for nothing, get reinforcement in the midfield, get a player familiar with the club, and an experienced player (who is also a legend) that can help the young guys.
