Heung-min Son has scooped an impressive four end-of-season awards, including ‘Hotspur Player of the Season’.
Following their 3-0 win over Leicester, the 28-year-old was presented with nothing short of an awards haul. The club has announced that their star forward has won multiple awards, including Player of the Season, Goal of the Season and Supporters’ Player of the Season. Speaking to reporters after the match, Son described it as a ‘massive achievement’.

The South Korea international has notched an impressive 11 goals and 11 assists in the Premier League this season, with 18 goals and 12 assists across all competitions (via Transfermarkt). Son is currently Tottenham’s second highest scorer of the season, behind only Harry Kane who boasts 23 goals (via BBC Sport).
“This is a big honour for me, thank you so much,” Son said after admitting it is difficult to play in front of a stadium with no fans. He then went on to talk about his game against Burnley, in which he scored a sensational goal which has been named Goal of the Season.
“It was a beautiful goal, I still watch it sometimes,” Son laughed. Indeed, the winger latched onto a poor touch from James Tarkowski just outside the Spurs penalty box and drove the ball all the way into the back of Burnley’s net. It was a sublime solo goal which saw him evade more than half of the Clarets’ team.
Tottenham went on to win the match 5-0 with Son being credited for one goal and one assist (via Sofascore). The South Korean is arguably now his side’s most important player, usurping Kane from such a title. Son has missed just six games across all competitions this season through injury, whereas the England international was sidelined for 18 fixtures, including the entirety of their FA Cup run.
Son also has a much higher assist tally for the season (12) than Kane (2) which only amplifies his impressive work rate and ability to create play rather than simply find the back of the net (via Transfermarkt). The 28-year-old also boasts a higher passing accuracy (85.3%) and more dribbles per game (2.1) than his teammates respective 67% and one dribble completed (via WhoScored).

The north London side have just one more side to face before they round off their season and they will partake in a derby against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday July 26.
