Guess the Tottenham kit! Can you remember each year/season these Spurs jerseys are from? Let's get started with an easy one...

Speaking to Football Insider, Phillips believes the winger could leave the Magpies during the transfer window and has tipped him to move to north London. He said:

“You could see him going to Tottenham. From their point of view, he’d be a great signing.

“There would certainly be at least a dozen teams in the Premier League who would take him.

“He’s so unpredictable and he’s got great talent. Even though he had that injury problem, he’s improved as the season’s gone on.

“He’s got that end product as well. He’s turning into a complete player. This kid’s got pace and the ability to drop a shoulder, turn this way and that.

“From a Newcastle point of view, you’d be devastated to see him leave. But naturally, when you’re a star, everyone’s looking at you.”

Exciting talent

While at times he can be unpredictable, Saint-Maximin is a top talent. He has managed seven goals and 12 assists since joining Newcastle in the summer of 2019, and so far this season, only Adama Traore has averaged more than his 3.5 dribbles per game (WhoScored).

He has also been compared to Paul Gascoigne and David Ginola – two players who plied their trade at both Newcastle and at Spurs. With a current market value of £25.2m (Transfermarkt), he would likely not come cheap, but at 24 years of age he has plenty of time to refine his talents. As Phillips has said, he could end up being a fantastic signing for Spurs if they were to make a move for him.

In other news, Steve Hitchen has suggested this man become the next Spurs boss.
