Speaking to Football Insider, former Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has slammed Jose Mourinho and Spurs for their treatment of outcast defender Danny Rose following his omission from both the Europa League and Premier League squads.
Rose, who has served as a Spurs player since making his debut in 2010, faces life on the sidelines and outside of Mourinho’s first team until he can secure a move away in January.

There were rumours surrounding the possibility of chairman Daniel Levy and co terminating Rose’s contract by mutual consent, but they never came to fruition, with the Englishman now seeking a way out in time to play his way into the England team.
Agbonlahor drops Rose take
Agbonlahor, speaking to Football Insider, has slammed the club’s treatment of Rose after an ‘outstanding’ Spurs career – saying it is ‘crazy’ how they can treat him so badly because of a bust up with Mourinho.
Blasting the ‘poor’ move to omit Rose, Agbonlahor dropped his take on the so-called ‘disgusting’ development.
“With Danny Rose I think the way they’ve treated him has been quite poor,” the pundit explained.
“I was in a situation with Roberto Di Matteo, where Villa did the same to me. They didn’t want me and they put me in a reserve team dressing room, made me sit in my own dressing room and train with the kids.
“They’re doing the same to Danny Rose, which is disgusting after you’ve given a club
10 years of your year career and you’ve had an outstanding career at Spurs.
“Just because you and a manager don’t see eye-to-eye it’s crazy how clubs can forget and treat you so badly.”

While Agbonlahor may have a point in regards to Rose’s service at Hotspur Way, Mourinho must balance the squad with players who have the best chance to deliver silverware.
The Spurs boss doesn’t see Rose as one of those men, and it’s really that simple. A mutually viable solution would be to respectfully part ways in January.
