Indeed, writing for football.london, he shared that Spurs have been keeping a close eye on their former midfielder entering into management since he took charge at Fulham.

Parker also has coaching history with the club having previously took charge of the Lilywhites’ Under-18s side.

The Latest: Spurs now set for Parker interview

Bringing the latest, Football Insider now share that Tottenham are set to interview him for the role in these coming days amid a big blow involving fellow managerial target Brendan Rodgers.

It is claimed that, while Spurs have now given up hope of appointing the Leicester boss, Parker remains very much on the radar and Tottenham are set to sit down and discuss his credentials.

Crucially, chairman Levy is an extremely influential admirer from the boardroom and and thinks ‘highly’ of the young manager – he is also believed to not be put off by Fulham’s relegation.

The Verdict: Parker a big risk…

One of his other admirers at Spurs, apart from Levy, is defender Ryan Sessegnon (on loan at Hoffenheim).

Speaking to talkSPORT, the 20-year-old defender waxed lyrical over Parker as a manager and claimed he would be a brilliant fit for the job in north London – calling him a ‘top coach’.

Man City boss Pep Guardiola has also hailed Parker this season for his courageous brand of attacking football (Evening Standard), but his lack of experience managing a club the size of Tottenham makes the possible appointment a big risk.
