Tottenham Hotspur: Tanguy Ndombele continues to divide opinion at Spurs and there is only one way out

Tottenham Hotspur have a real problem on their hands with seemingly no end in sight.

Tanguy Ndombele continues to divide opinion at Spurs, despite Daniel Levy’s claims he will not sold in the summer.

Ndombele, who is Tottenham’s record signing, has struggled to settle down under Jose Mourinho and now it seems the two are at a breaking point.

The strained relationship between the duo has evolved into something taken straight from a soap drama. According to The Athletic, they just don’t understand each other, as Ndombele has not responded well to Mourinho’s offer to help him train.

Mourinho has insisted he is happy with the Frenchman’s work ethic but this is contrary to the reports that emerged over the past week or so.

Although the Portuguese is one of the best managers in the world, he has developed an unsavoury reputation for losing control of a dressing room on a whim, while the mercurial midfielder appears to have taken a page right out of Paul Pogba’s book.

Who will leave Spurs first?

At the moment, the pair are currently at an impasse, with neither side prepared to give any ground.

Ndombele clearly has bags of talent, which makes the situation even more frustrating. The 23-year-old, who has drawn comparisons with N’Golo Kante, has given fans a glimpse of what he has to offer in the Champions League.

He has played 6 games in the European competition, providing two assists, making 1.7 tackles per game, averaging one interception and completing 1.3 key passes per game on average (via WhoScored).

Yet, despite his best attempts, this has not been enough to convince Mourinho to give him another chance.

Where did Mauricio Pochettino complete his playing career?

The Spurs boss is concerned by his lack of effort in training, which explains why he has been an unused substitute for three games in a row.

Unfortunately, it seems the only way out of this will be if one of them leaves the club. Barcelona are closely monitoring the situation and Mourinho may find it hard to resist the offer of a swap-deal.

Tottenham fans, do you think Mourinho should give Tanguy Ndombele another chance? Let us know down below!
