Tottenham Hotspur will be much better off without these 2 total money grabbers next season

Our Tottenham Hotspur fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that Mauricio Pochettino will show a few players the door this summer in order to move the team forward. He has to evolve the team and showing a firm hand in the summer can only add to his long-term plans for the squad.

Mauricio Pochettino has masterminded a fantastic rise up the table for Spurs this year, after what was a rocky time in the opening half of the season. Spurs currently sit in the top-four in the league and well within the Champions League spots for next year thanks to the victory over Chelsea during Easter – which is vital with the new stadium move edging ever closer.

The Spurs fans in the pub will hope to see the team continue their good form and mathematically lock up a top-four finish as early as possible, while their young team continues to develop under the Argentine’s detailed watch.

Indeed, there are a few players that simply should not see the new stadium after this season and it hasn’t been a particularly happy campaign for these TWO Lillywhites. With that being said, the 2 Tottenham players in question seriously need to look at finding new clubs in the new season, should Pochettino show them the door…

Danny Rose

The England left-back hasn’t really recovered from his summer outburst in which he slated all around him, in a supposed attempt to force a move to Manchester United. Rose wants more money, especially after his pal and former teammate Kyle Walker’s move to Manchester City saw him increase his wages and looking likely to majorly increase his personal trophy room this season alone.

Rose is a quality left-back but money seems to be his game.

Toby Alderweireld

The Belgian defender has been struggling for game time following his return from injury recently, despite his previous importance to the Tottenham cause. He still has a year left on his contract and many of the Premier League clubs are starting to sniff around the centre-back, while Alderweireld himself is dangling a carrot by stalling on a new deal.

With his age and experience, he would be a great buy for a rival. Indeed, it seems that Pochettino is willing to go in another direction away from Alderweireld, with Davinson Sanchez impressing at the club since his arrival in the summer.
