It’s another busy Sunday in the Football Transfer Tavern and Tottenham fans have been left feeling intrigued by news from the Daily Star who report that Spurs want to sign highly-rated Real Madrid wonderkid Jese Rodriguez in a £10 million deal.
The impressive young winger scored 22 goals for Real Madrid Castilla last season which has attracted interest from White Hart Lane with manager Andre Villas-Boas looking to recruit the Spanish Under-20 international.
Jese, who is currently starring for his country at the Under-20s World Cup in Turkey, has a contract with Los Blancos until 2014 but has admitted that he will consider leading to gain first team football.
He said: “I want to play and I don’t know if I will get many minutes in the Real first team.”
Spurs have already confirmed their first capture of the summer in Brazilian international Paulinho in a £17 million deal from Corinthians and Tottenham supporters in the tavern are now wondering if the Real Madrid teenager could be the next arrival.
