Out of the many sagas engulfing Tottenham this season, Christian Eriksen’s is the one that is seemingly annoying supporters the most, and Mauricio Pochettino hasn’t made things any easier.

Speaking to the press ahead of tonight’s Champions League clash in Serbia against Red Star Belgrade (per Dan Kilpatrick), the Tottenham manager admitted that he is happy with Eriksen’s commitment to the club this season as well as the level of the Danish international’s performance.
It was an interesting comment from the Argentine manager, as stats from Transfermarkt show that Eriksen has been somewhat underwhelming this season with the midfielder only managing one goal and one assist in all competitions this campaign, which is why Tottenham supporters on social media were confused by Pochettino’s comments.
