It was another weekend to forget for Tottenham as the north London side threw away a 1-0 lead to draw 1-1 with Sheffield United at home (per BBC Sport).
Poch: “We are building a team during the season, while competing in the Champions League and Premier League, and that is dangerous. You expect better results than you get. We are in a process to build and we’ll see if we have time to build what we want.” https://t.co/LxkYyenwdZ

With results going against Spurs, Mauricio Pochettino’s side fell down further in the Premier League table (per the Premier League’s official website), yet the former Southampton manager admitted in his post-match press conference via Football London that he is using this season as a chance to rebuild the side as the campaign progresses.
Given the nature of the answer and Tottenham’s form this season that currently sees Tottenham behind the likes of Burnley, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United, lots of Spurs fans on social media seemingly sounded like they were giving up on hope with Pochettino after a disastrous start to the 2019/20 campaign.

Here’s what Spurs supporters had to say about Pochettino’s post-match interview comments, with plenty of fans confused by what the Argentine manager is trying to achieve with the club this season…
How are we building a team during the season ? Who have we signed since the season started? How long does he need to identify the best eleven and formulate a way of playing with the players he has had for four months? How much is this bloke paid to do that? £8m p.a. and he can’t

Building a team during the season?
WHAT is it then Poch coz people are getting a bit fed up with your riddles
You either want investment in the team, if so blame Levy & Co
Or
As you keep saying you’re happy with the squad, if so we can blame you as well as your tactics

The thing that annoys us all is we had a ‘project’ for 5 years which brought us zero success, then go straight into a rebuild all over again. You’re supposed to have success before the project starts closing. Will we ever win a major trophy again, under Levy I would say no.

He’s been building for 6 years and he’s still at the foundation stage.. Get rid of this guy.. He’s not a serial winner!

Build what? Even with injuries look at the amount of minutes Lo Celso, Sessegnon, Ndombele and Foyth have actually had while Rose, Aurier, Eriksen and Vertonghen have laboured. Too little to late and the season is slipping away.
