“Several approaches already…”: £30 million Tottenham star wanted by numerous clubs in January

Tottenham Hotspur’s season continues to unravel, with their FA Cup hopes ended at the first hurdle following a 2–0 home defeat to Aston Villa at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Goals from Emi Buendía and Morgan Rogers secured the win for the visitors, while tensions flared at the final whistle as players clashed on the pitch.

Combined with their 14th-place standing in the Premier League and an early EFL Cup exit, Spurs are enduring a deeply disappointing campaign.

Amid the gloom, one player in particular could be eyeing an exit.

Several Approaches for Mathys Tel

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham’s £30 million summer signing Mathys Tel has already attracted “several approaches” from interested clubs, including Paris FC, who are reportedly exploring a loan move in January.

Tel, who joined Spurs from Bayern Munich, has struggled for consistent game time under Thomas Frank, starting just seven matches across all competitions and scoring three goals.

While Tottenham are keen for the 20-year-old to remain, Tel is eager to play regularly as he continues to pursue his dream of a World Cup call-up.

With his desire for minutes at a premium, it appears Mathys Tel’s time in North London could already be nearing its end.
