Monday marked the first day of pre-season training for Tottenham with the club still yet to sign a player this summer, and a handful of Spurs fans here in the Transfer Tavern are getting sweaty palms.
Pochettino has two weeks to prepare his side for their pre-season tour of the United States on July 19.
The Argentine says he will hand out minutes to Spurs’ youngsters including Harry Winks, Kyle Walker-Peters and Josh Onomah.
That’s all well and good, but Spurs fans here in the Tavern are starting to get frustrated with the lack of transfer activity down at their club.
The side that comfortably finished second last season will spend this season at Wembley as it becomes their temporary home for a year.
Wembley – a ground where Spurs have lost six out of their last nine matches.
It’s far from doom and gloom, but Tottenham need an injection of fresh competition to get their fans excited again.
We’ve identified the TWO players who Pochettino should sign to kickstart their summer spending…….
Steven N’Zonzi

The former Stoke man has come on leaps and bounds since his Staffordshire departure.
N’Zonzi played 35 of Sevilla’s 38 La Liga games last season and is now considered one of the best defensive midfielders in the league.
The Frenchman has an eye-watering buyout clause of 40 million euros, and Spurs are suggested to be competing with Barcelona and Juventus in the race for the 28-year-old’s signature.
Thomas Lemar

The Monaco winger emerged as one of the brightest talents in Europe last season after a remarkable year in Ligue 1.
Lemar who scored 14 goals and afforded 17 assists to his teammates can also operate in the hole.
The French side have already rejected a bid from Spurs’ rivals Arsenal, but Pochettino’s side, who can provide Champions League football next season, should attempt to lure the winger to white half of North London.
