There are some worrying emerging reports for Tottenham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern.
The Express report that Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain have targeted a £16.5 million bid for Hugo Lloris.
Laurent Blanc can currently call upon Salvatore Sirigu between the sticks but it thought that the former Manchester United defender wants to move for a big name in the summer, with the French international keeper outlined.
The ex-Lyon man has already admitted that a failure to secure Champions League football this term would see him reassessing his options come the end of the season.
Given Blanc’s strong relationship with the 27-year-old goalie, it is understood that Lloris would consider a move back to France at this stage of his career.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has already spoken about the importance of signing more native Frenchmen after landing Newcastle United’s Yohan Cabaye in Janaury, saying: “Cabaye is French and he is important for us to recruit French players at PSG to win the French championship again.”
Lloris is highly regarded by all in the tavern and to lose him would be a massive blow for Tim Sherwood’s side.
Would Lloris really walk out on Spurs if they don’t manage to grab fourth place? Let us know your thoughts below.
