Tottenham fans inside the Football Transfer Tavern have grown sick and tired of rumours regarding the future of their star wide man Gareth Bale, and now Neil McLeman of the Daily Mirror reckons they may have to start worrying about their man on the opposite flank.
Italian giants Inter Milan are reportedly keen to bring Aaron Lennon to the San Siro, as they look to recover from a disappointing season that is set to see them finish in mid table.
Lennon was a target for Inter last summer, but the wide man opted to stay at White Hart Lane and sign a new four-year-contract.
It appears the 26-year-old is now back on Inter’s transfer wishlist, and according to reports in Italy they are preparing to test Tottenham’s resolve with a summer bid.
Lennon has enjoyed arguably his best season to date in a Tottenham shirt, looking every inch the quality wide man that so many expected he would be.
His game has come on leaps and bounds under Andre Villas-Boas, with his end product having significantly improved this season, seeing the England man add more goals and assists to his game.
Inter know they face a challenge in attempting to persuade Lennon to swap the Premier League for Serie A, especially if Tottenham pip Arsenal to Champions League football on the final day of the season.
Will Inter complete a swoop for Lennon or is this story best saved for fish and chip wrapping? Rate this rumour below.
