Tottenham Hotspur and Fabio Paratici's main transfer target for the summer window has been named as Gabriel Jesus.

The Lowdown: Kane to City?

As per  Tuttosport (via Sport Witness), Harry Kane does not want to stay at Spurs, as Manchester City could try to land the England international captain this summer.

This means that the North London club may have to look at buying a new striker, with the likes of Dusan Vlahovic, Mauro Icardi, Arkadiusz Milik and Andrea Belotti being named as potential options.

The Latest: Jesus main target

According to Tuttosport (via Sport Witness), Jesus is the 'main' target for the Lilywhites in this window, as they also cite that Paratici may well have to battle his former club Juventus for his signature.

THFC would ask the Brazil international to be included in any part of a deal that would see Kane go to the Etihad Stadium, but that would depend a lot on the player himself and Pep Guardiola.

The Verdict: Sign him

Regardless of whether Tottenham end up keeping Kane or selling him, they should be looking to sign Jesus anyway.

Not only would they be weakening a rival in the top flight, but the striker's record in the division speaks for itself, scoring no fewer than 50 goals and making a further 23 assists in 131 games (Transfermarkt) - he has 103 total career goals at club level.

Once dubbed 'the new Ronaldo' by former Brazil teammate Dani Alves back in 2017, at just 24 years of age, he still has the potential to become one of the world's best in his position.

Nonetheless, Jesus would certainly be a statement signing by Spurs should they be able to get a deal through with MCFC.
