According to Football Insider, the chances of star striker Harry Kane leaving Tottenham Hotspur this summer are ‘remote‘ due to a plethora of varying factors – with Jose Mourinho gifted a potential boost as it looks more likely he will be able to keep hold of his star striker.
Mourinho gifted potential Kane transfer boost for Spurs
A recent report from the same outlet claimed it was ‘inevitable‘ that a big name player would be heading out the door as a result of COVID-19 financial hits – with the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United ‘keen’ on a number 9 according to the Daily Mail.
The Mail also claimed this week that chairman Daniel Levy has slapped a £150 million price tag on the Englishman and a bid of this number or upwards would be the least required to tempt Tottenham into a potential sale.
Now, providing an update and potential boost for Mourinho, a Football Insider financial source claims this factor, alongside Kane’s £200,000-per-week wages, means the chances of him leaving Spurs are ‘remote’ and highly unlikely.
Transfer Tavern take
In a market decimated by coronavirus, the ever-dwindling odds of Kane’s north London exit seem to have provided a boost for Mourinho and co as Tottenham look to eventually clinch silverware for the first time since 2008.
They will arguably need Kane for that ambition, who has bagged 13 goals and 11 assists in 21 league starts (WhoScored), with the Lilywhites boss hailing his contribution for the team this season and the player himself as ‘magnificent’ (talkSPORT).
