As per Calciomercato, yet another promising update has come to light in Tottenham Hotspur's hunt to sign Wolves star Adama Traore before January 31.

The Lowdown: Spurs talks ongoing...

According to reliable reports, Spurs and transfer chief Fabio Paratici have been in discussions to sign the Spain international since last week.

Indeed, journalist Matt Law of The Telegraph says manager Antonio Conte and Tottenham are seeking to bring in Traore on loan with the obligation to make his north London stay permanent.

This comes as the Italian maps out a unique role in his squad for the 25-year-old, aiming to re-mould the Molineux ace into a right-wing back as a better option over the likes of Matt Doherty and Emerson Royal (The Athletic).

The Latest: Italian source shares big update...

According to Calciomercato, the negotiations appear to be advancing, as they claim Conte 'could soon be satisfied' with one of his transfer 'requests' in Traore.

This comes after a meeting in recent days with club chairman Daniel Levy and Paratici, and what's more, Wolves are now apparently opening to an agreement.

As such, Spurs are 'ready to sink the blow' by presenting a 'concrete offer' to sign the winger.

The Verdict: Get it done...

11 days remain of this year's January transfer window, leaving little time for Spurs to secure targets in other positions like the midfield area and further forward.

A move for Traore needs to be wrapped up as soon as possible given how long they have been linked with a move, but there is little arguing he could be worth the wait.

Former Leeds United striker Noel Whelan is certainly a big admirer, labelling the former Barcelona man a 'game-changer' and 'match-winner' whilst claiming he could be the 'perfect fit' for Spurs under Conte (Football Insider).

Depending on Tottenham's 'concrete offer', they may well be edging closer to landing a real asset.
