According to an inside update by reliable football.london correspondent Alasdair Gold, sharing Daniel Levy and Tottenham’s plans over a January signing, the club will move for a new acquisition provided they offload assets as a financial booster.
Levy, who instigated a memorable summer transfer window for Tottenham, snapping up seven new signings in a plethora of great deals, could be set to take to the market again in January – with selling surplus-to-requirement players a necessity as they also look to incomings.
Who should Tottenham sign in January?
Levy plan for January revealed
Spurs have been heavily linked with a move for star Serie A defender Milan Skriniar, who is apparently a top target for the club, with Levy failing to land him over the summer.
The 25-year-old was the only target Tottenham failed to land before the normal window shut on October 5 and is widely rumoured to still be high on the club’s priority list, and Gold has now revealed plans from the club which could make or break a deal to bring him in.
As per this inside update from football.london, Tottenham could move for a new signing in January but need to offload assets first in order to fund a potential bid as well as make room in Mourinho’s currently stuffed squad.
Transfer Tavern take
One player that could make way is outcast and star playmaker Dele Alli, who has only featured over 75 minutes in the Premier League this season.
Another is Davinson Sanchez, who is said to not be in the Spurs manager’s plans and could be offloaded in January.
Depending on developments, Tottenham are said to have one eye on a January signing – and this update suggests it could happen as Levy first plots a squad overhaul.
