Tottenham Hotspur: Fabio Paratici plots Ryan Gravenberch offer

According to Spanish news outlet Fichajes, Tottenham Hotspur and managing director Fabio Paratici have a ‘new target’ in Ajax sensation Ryan Gravenberch, with an offer planned for 2022.
The Lowdown: Paratici era begins…
The Italian transfer chief, appointed by chairman Daniel Levy in early June, has just overseen his first Tottenham transfer window.
Paratici managed to offload plenty of deadwood, including the likes of Joe Hart and Erik Lamela, whilst also bringing in some precocious talent in Cristian Romero and Bryan Gil among others (Transfermarkt).
Never off his phone, it appears that the 49-year-old already has his sights set on another target.
The Latest: Paratici now eyeing Gravenberch…
As per Fichajes, the Italian has his eyes on Dutch wonderkid Gravenberch, who has taken Europe by storm over the last two seasons.
Paratici apparently has the sole objective of transforming Tottenham into a powerhouse akin to the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City, but Levy has tasked him to spend as little as money as possible in the process.
Gravenberch is seen as a big part of that rebuild by the Spurs executive, so much so that he is already planning an offer to sign the midfielder in 2022 when his price tag is expected to drop.
Indeed, the plan is to ‘make him an offer in the next summer transfer market’, where Ajax could be pressured into accepting a lower fee given that his current deal expires in 2023.
The Verdict: Get it done…
Lauded as a “better version of Pogba” by former Ajax youth coach Brian Tevreden (Goal), a big statement considering the Frenchman’s CV, Gravenberch would certainly come as one of the hottest prospects in European football.
Already amassing seven international caps for the Netherlands at the age of 19, it’s little wonder Paratici has identified the teenager as a new target for Spurs.
If the director wants to showcase his talents of negotiation and elevate Spurs to the next level, we believe that signing Gravenberch would be a brilliant place to begin.
