Writing on Twitter, Sky Sports transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has dropped a promising five-word update on Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira, who has been tipped to join Spurs in the media – with the Italian journalist claiming he is ‘open to a possible move’.
Khedira, who recently declared his love for manager Jose Mourinho in an interview with Sky, going on to say he would ‘never say no‘ to the Spurs manager, is looking more and more likely to leave Turin after this latest update.
Should Spurs sign Khedira?
No, don't need him

Indeed, as explained by Romano, the Germany stalwart is open to a Premier League move having recently teased Tottenham – saying to outlet ZDF that he still ‘talks‘ with Mourinho and a move to England is certainly an ‘option’.
The 6 foot 3 colossus, suffering from a lack of game time in Italy, could be looking to move on to pastures new having recently flirted with the idea of moving to the Premier League.
Romano explains that he is open to that possibility amid claims in the media Spurs should sign him, due to the fact he could still have a lot to offer as Mourinho’s side chase coveted silverware (Football Insider).

While he wouldn’t be guaranteed a starting place ahead of the in-form defensive midfield duo of Moussa Sissoko and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who shut up shop superbly against Chelsea at the weekend, he could still be a pivotal figure in the dressing room.
A World Cup winner, Khedira commands experience at the highest level having won trophies galore – and Spurs could snap up this ‘fantastic‘ natural leader at a bargain price.
It remains to be seen whether Spurs take this option, but there appears to be very little to lose given he is out of contract at the end of this season and could leave for a cheap fee.
