As per journalist Jack Gallagher of 90min, a big post-transfer window update has come to light involving Tottenham Hotspur and Paulo Dybala.

The Lowdown: Lacklustre January...

Despite links to many players at the end of the month, Spurs and transfer chief Fabio Paratici only managed to bring two fresh faces through the door at Hotspur Way.

Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur arrived from Dybala's club Juventus but it is said that Antonio Conte requested three major signings, with the Lilywhites falling short (The Telegraph).

Moves for Adama Traore and Luis Diaz collapsed late in the month, but as per 90min, it appears that Tottenham may have been offered the chance to sign another big name from Turin.

The Latest: Spurs 'offered' Dybala...

According to Gallagher, Tottenham have been handed the chance to sign Juventus attacker Dybala alongside Chelsea, Liverpool, Man United, Arsenal and Man City. The journalist says that the 28-year-old and his representatives are now due to fly around Europe for talks with Spurs and the other clubs 'in the coming weeks'.

Gallagher explained on Twitter: "Understand that Liverpool, Tottenham, Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal have all been offered the chance to sign Paulo Dybala. Player's representatives are due to fly around Europe for talks in the coming weeks."

The Verdict: Get it done?

The £222,000-per-week star would likely demand hefty personal terms, but going by his record, he is someone worth considering as the soon-to-be free agent searches for a new club.

Dybala has racked up 140 goals and 62 assists across his senior career and it is no secret that Conte needs a capable backup to star striker Harry Kane, or perhaps someone to challenge the England captain for his place in the team.

Still in the prime of his career, the Argentine should certainly be a viable candidate for Tottenham, especially on a free transfer.
