Speaking live on air (via Football Daily), Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has dropped an update on Tottenham Hotspur, Harry Kane and Manchester City's pursuit of the superstar.

The Lowdown: Kane in training protest...

Sky also broke news on Monday morning of Kane's absence from the Tottenham Hotspur training ground as he makes his feelings known over moving away this summer.

The 28-year-old, who believes he has a gentleman's agreement with chairman Daniel Levy to be allowed to leave, has been missing from Hotspur Way since the start of this week and won't return until the weekend (Fabrizio Romano).

Amid the chaos, Solhekol has been in full discussion on Sky surrounding Kane and his possible move to Man City this summer.

The Latest: Solhekol drops Kane update...

The reporter, sharing what he knows to the broadcast giant amid Kane's hiatus, believes that the problems lie more from the side of Pep Guardiola and City.

Solhekol claims that the Sky Blues simply aren't offering enough to tempt Levy into any kind of sale this summer.

"As far as Harry Kane is concerned, my understanding of the situation is that Manchester City are not offering enough," he explained on Sky Sports (via Football Daily).

"If they want him, Spurs are saying he's not for sale and if you want him it's going to take something extraordinary, £150 million.

"These benchmarks are now being set, because if Jack Grealish is worth £100m, then, Spurs can say well Harry Kane is the England captain, Jack Grealish is a player who started one game for England at the Euros."

The Verdict: Interesting few weeks...

City are reliably believed to have completed the sensational signing of star midfielder Jack Grealish for £100 million (Fabrizio Romano), and sources indicate that they are not done there.

Indeed, as reported by the Athletic, Guardiola's side are still confident a deal can be done to sign Kane this summer and have spoken of their expectation for 'big signings' beyond Grealish.

City are even allegedly willing to go as high as £130 million, but as explained by Solhekol, Spurs are demanding at least £150m.

A lot will come down to the player himself and it may take Kane to submit an official transfer request if he wishes to secure his dream move to Eastlands.
