Speaking to Sky Sports, Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira sent an enticing four-word message to Spurs boss Jose Mourinho – going on to claim he ‘would never say no‘ to linking up with the Portuguese boss in the Premier League.
Khedira, who has worked under Mourinho at Real Madrid before, dropped this subtle transfer hint in an exclusive interview with Sky Sports – appearing to potentially open the door for a potential move.
Khedira tipped for Spurs
The 6 foot 3 star is out of contract at the end of this season, with Juventus still yet to offer him an extension, and Khedira could be shipped out by the Old Lady as they potentially wish to make a profit off his signature.
If Juventus don’t sell in January, Khedira will leave in the summer as a free agent as things stand – and he recently admitted to Sky that playing in the Premier League would be an ‘honour‘.
Now, he is also being tipped to sign for Spurs, with Football Insider pundit Kevin Phillips claiming he can definitely see it happening after this teasing message.
The Germany international has a plethora of experience on the biggest stages in world football, playing in numerous Champions League matches whilst amassing 77 caps for his country.
Transfer Tavern take
Left out a lot this season, Khedira could sign for Spurs as a back up option to the likes of Moussa Sissoko and Harry Winks, who often partner Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in front of the defence.
Time will tell whether Daniel Levy makes a move for the colossus, but it could be a more possible than ever given Khedira appears to be up for a move.
