Nottingham Forest fans saw their side spend a large amount of money back in the summer transfer window but the last thing they would have expected was for a loan player to steal the show.
Jack Colback has been one of the shining lights for Forest in the current campaign and they’ll be desperate to sign him permanently in the summer transfer window.
Unsurprisingly, lots of supporters were delighted with the club’s decision to bring Colback to the City Ground as they took to Twitter to express their feelings over the signing.
Quality signing, fantastic work again behind the scenes. Some won’t realise how good this is, but to let the forward talent we now have do their thing, you need a solid defensive midfield. He was brilliant for us at the end of the season, if you understand the position he plays

Jack Colback became surplus to requirements during Rafa Benitez’s reign which allowed him to seal a loan move to Nottingham Forest back in January of last year. And, his impressive displays in the side lured Forest into bringing him back on loan to the City Ground back in the summer transfer window, which has worked out very well.
The Englishman has been one of the surprise packages at the City Ground this season as he runs the middle of midfield and constantly snuffs out attacks. His passing ability has made him a threat in the final third and he’s shown that he can find the back of the net, having scored three goals and produced two assists.
Indeed, the midfielder, who is valued at £2.7 million (by Transfermarkt), has done more than enough to warrant a permanent deal at the City Ground but fans will now face an anxious wait to see if a deal is completed in the summer.
