Back in the summer of 2017, Leicester City signed Kelechi Iheanacho from Manchester City in what looked like a great deal.
More often than not, the Nigerian striker found the back of the net whenever he featured during his time at the Etihad, leaving Leicester supporters excited to say the least upon his arrival at their club.

And that excitement was echoed by manager at the time Craig Shakespeare who had plenty of good stuff to say about Iheanacho after the announcing of his signing.
“It’s a great signing for us. Kelechi is an enormously talented player that has shown a huge amount of promise at every level in which he’s played,” Shakespeare told Leicester’s official club website.
“We’ve tracked his progress for some time, so we know how much quality he’ll bring to the squad. He’s young, he’s hungry, he’s ready for the next stage of his development and I’m delighted that will be with Leicester City.”
That quality spoken about by Shakespeare, however, has yet to be seen at the King Power, much to the disappointment of Leicester supporters who were expecting big things from Iheanacho.
Since joining the club, the 22-year-old has only managed to score four goals in 43 Premier League appearances with the finishing that was on show when he was a Manchester City player nowhere to be seen.
At 22, Iheanacho still has plenty of time to get his Premier League career back on track, though doing so at Leicester looks like an extremely difficult task.
With the Foxes no longer using a system that employs two No.9s up front, Iheanacho finds himself playing second fiddle to Jamie Vardy, something which is unlikely to change anytime soon.
Ultimately, given all of the expectation, the former Manchester City man has been a disastrous signing for Leicester.
