Leicester City failed to get the better of Manchester United last time out, while Tottenham Hotspur secured a late winner against Newcastle United at Wembley Stadium.
The Foxes will be desperate to secure a European spot in the current campaign but they’ll need to work on their consistency in order for that to happen. Meanwhile, Spurs have been rather impressive in Harry Kane and Dele Alli’s absence, which has helped them mount a title challenge with Liverpool and Man City in their sights.
Interestingly, Leicester City will travel to Wembley Stadium to face Tottenham Hotspur this weekend, so we took a look at James Maddison and Dele Alli’s influence at their respective clubs.
With that in mind, let’s compare these two transfers…
JAMES MADDISON
Leicester City signed James Maddison from Norwich City for an undisclosed fee believed to be around £20 million back in the summer transfer window.
The Englishman has settled down to life in the Premier League very quickly as he continues to impress at the King Power Stadium, with five goals and four assists to his name at this moment in time.
Maddison has shown that he has what it takes to become a star in the Premier League, as well as receiving a call-up to the England squad last year, so he’s definitely one to watch out for.

DELE ALLI
Tottenham Hotspur signed Dele Alli from Milton Keynes Dons for £5 million back in 2015.
Interestingly, the 22-year-old has gone on to enjoy huge amounts of success in the Premier League, on the international stage and in Europe, which has raised his value dramatically.
Alli has already made a name for himself at Spurs and is one of the best midfielders in world football, so the North London club really did manage to pull off a masterstroke.

TT VERDICT:
When comparing these two, it’s safe to say that Dele Alli is currently edging things as he’s excelled at the highest level over the past few years, with a number of goals and assists to his name in all competitions and internationally.
However, in 2015 Spurs reportedly came close to signing a teenage Maddison from Coventry as former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp, then in charge of QPR, raved about Maddison to his ex-colleagues, and a £350,000 deal was mooted. Spurs appeared to be the frontrunners to sign him before negotiations stalled, with it being reported that interest at White Hart Lane cooled over a £7 million asking price.
So, Spurs could have had themselves another Dele-esque bargain back in 2015, but instead they find themselves watching on as Maddison takes the Premier League by storm.
