Tottenham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are informed by talkSPORT that Besiktas are set to make a fresh bid for Younes Kaboul in the summer after failing to land him in January.
Former West Ham United defender and current Besiktas manager Slaven Bilic was hoping to bring the experienced defender to the Turkish giants in the winter window.
Kaboul has not been favoured under Mauricio Pochettino with Federico Fazio and Jan Vertonghen preferred as the first choice central defensive partnership.
Despite being named club captain last summer, his lack of action will give Bilic added hope that he can sign him at the end of the season.
It seems that underneath the surface, he is still wanted as cover at Spurs because he was also linked with a move to West Ham United in January but a move never materialised.
Now that he is at White Hart Lane until at least next summer, he will have no other choice than to fight for his place in the first team.
Meanwhile, Bilic is not giving up on his man and will hope that his fresh bid in the summer will be swiftly accepted.
