Newcastle and West Ham fans will be drinking in celebration after hearing they have emerged as front runners for Joe Hart’s signature.

Joe Hart clearly has no future at Manchester City, why Pep Guardiola doesn’t like the England number one will never be clear, as he still has a lot to offer.

Since his loan spell with Serie A club, Torino ended, Hart has been linked with just about every Premier League club going.

West Ham and Newcastle seem to be favourites to land his signature on a loan deal but given Guardiola’s feelings towards Hart, it wouldn’t be surprising to see that loan turn into a permanent move, but who should Hart choose?

West Ham with their fresh stadium but unfortunately underwhelming performances, or Newcastle with veteran Benitez at the helm but who have only just been promoted?

Our landlord thinks Newcastle and here are the TWO main reasons why…..

Rafa Benitez

The landlord has a lot of respect for Rafa Benitez, how he won the Champions league with that Liverpool side was nothing short of amazing.

Despite managing sides like Inter Milan, Chelsea, and Real Madrid, he never accomplished much of note except for the Europa League with Chelsea in 2013.

Most managers would either go to Russia or China to get some money in and continue to drop off the face of the earth, but not Rafa.

In March of 2016, Benitez was the shock appointment as the new Newcastle boss and many thought he would keep them up and then move on.

Unfortunately for the Toon army, even he couldn’t keep them afloat but when many thought he may leave, he decided to stay with Newcastle and get them back to the top flight, which he did the first time of asking.

They’re on the rise

Continuing from Rafa’s success, Newcastle are a club on the rise.

Benitez has some long-term plans with Newcastle and he has the ability, the drive, and the support from both the club and fans to do so.

Newcastle are a top-flight club, they just are, much like Manchester United and Liverpool, Newcastle are a club that don’t seem to belong anywhere but the top flight of English football.

Whilst West Ham seem to be in decline now, Newcastle are quite the opposite and unlike Huddersfield and Brighton, it is doubtful that Newcastle will be part of the relegation dog fight come the end of next season.

There is no saying they’re guaranteed a top half finish but with the right buys, like Joe Hart, they could see themselves have a comfortable season back in the Premier League.
