Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are on high spirits today, as they feel their 4-2 victory over Southampton last night pushed them further towards Premier League glory.
The victory from Antonio Conte’s side saw the Blues increase their advantage over second-placed Tottenham Hotspur to seven points, with the Lilywhites facing Crystal Palace this evening in a difficult test.
With the Eagles having defeated Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool recently, fans in the bar believe they’ll conquer Spurs this evening and that the result will all but mathematically secure their second league title in three seasons.
Last night’s victory included another starring performance from N’Golo Kante, who was recently named PFA Player of the Year, and the Frenchman’s performance wowed fans on social media- even earning praise from Chelsea’s U18 coach Jody Morris.
Kante, who’s reportedly on £110k-a-week at Chelsea, has certainly stood out as the signing of the season and our landlord believes he will only get better, which is an exciting prospect for the Chelsea fans who have already grown to adore the former Leicester City ace.
